2Boys, Sam Verlinden, Joshua Flores “Bringing Hope Through Song”

2boys Help them With all the calamities that have been happening back to back in the world, the true nature of the human heart reveals again how we share each other’s pain and hurts and truly desire to extend a helping hand.

This week’s tribute article features four of our regularly featured artists. Marcus and Sondre, better known as 2Boys, Sam Verlinden, and Joshua Flores, who were so moved by the devastation around them, that they have produced and recorded songs to bring messages of hope and encouragement!

I asked 2Boys a little about their new song entitled “Help Them” and they gave me the background of what inspired this particular production.

Marcus explained, “Some of our fans on Facebook requested that we create a song about the tsunami and the devastation in Japan. We were in the middle of working on a new single but really wanted to do this. So putting the current work aside we asked if someone wanted to try sending some lyrics or just a few thoughts about the event. A girl in our hometown Nina Vabog actually sent us a text that sparked the inspiration needed to write the lyrics for the song.”

Once the lyrics were on paper Marcus fired up their home studio equipment and made a beat in just one evening of work. Three days later the entire project from conception to the final note was completed just in time to perform live at a special concert appearance. Their dad told me;

“They perhaps would have been safer to perform one of their other songs but this song had become so meaningful to them that they just could not put it aside and desired to sing it to their fans and to the world!”

International Interest Growing for Norways 2Boys!

2Boys were first introduced here on July 24^th , quickly followed up with an exclusive interview at The Skykid.com the following month.

Since that time, the boys have been extremely busy with concerts, gigs, radio and TV interviews, autograph signings, publicity photo and video shoots, among other exciting opportunities for singing and performing in front of their admiring fans. Only now are they getting back into the swing of school and relaxing a bit from their very busy summer schedule.

Their debut CD has done exceptionally well with sales continuing to grow. International reception has been phenomenal! In fact their physical CD is appearing in places like Brazil, Russia, and Mexico and as far away as Asia. Their mp3 versions of their CD and single songs on I-Tunes, continues to increase and is being downloaded from every part of the globe. I was just informed that even ringtones in Vietnam and China have been observed. In less than a year, these two boys (2Boys) have virtually come from being local youngsters to worldwide singing stars!

Like everyone, I too enjoy a vacation from normal activities but then again my life is not what most would consider normal. However, when I do break away from my routines my time spent is never what one would consider relaxing, as it always includes some extracurricular and exciting activities. This past week, while enjoying fun filled activities right here in the Grand Rapids area with, family and friends I also completed two long awaited and very exciting interviews with “2Boys” from Norway and “The Wright Kids”. You may ask how do you accomplish that? Well it’s just a matter of juggling Church picnics, Family outings, Radio and Television station tours, phone calls, expected and unexpected company, and last but not least authoring time.

That’s why this week you have this unique article instead of the single special feature that you are accustom to reading every week. The Skykid.com site both in English and Norwegian. I’m publishing this article today to let you know that that interview will be aired for the first time this Sunday at 3:00 P.M. New York Time on The Skykid.com Radio program. Since my introductory article just one month ago the boys have been busy doing concerts, television appearances, and nightly gigs at one of Norway’s largest Hotels. I’m not sure just where or when this excitement will end for them, but I’m hoping that somehow through this blog, they will receive an invitation to appear here in the United States which would give them an even greater audience of young fans who I know would love their unique upbeat sound with perfect harmony blends.

“2 Boys” Norway’s Dynamic Duo!

While searching for new young talent last month I came across a Dynamic Duo that astounded me! These two boys, who incidentally call themselves simply ….*”2….. - “2 Boys”,- were writing, producing, and performing some of the best pop music I have ever heard. There upbeat sound, perfect pitch, and awesome harmony blend made me an instant fan and supporter.

Marcus (13) and Sondre (10) two brothers from Norway are most likely the most up and coming young pop group to hit the stage and are becoming all the rave in Norway and now internationally.

Last year the boys participated in the MPG JR Norway Contest, and carried their performance all the way to the finals. This experience gave them an even greater appetite for performing and soon thereafter began working on their first CD which was just released this past June.
