In our continuing search for rising young talent from every corner of the globe we often come across talent that has already claimed great success in their part of the world, yet not found their way to international attention. It’s with great pride that we introduce for the very first time here at Rivenmaster’s Place Sebastián Urdiales.
 Thirteen year old Sebastián Urdiales is one of the fastest growing young talents to come out of Mexico City, Mexico! Sebastián who is currently in the 7th grade is a talented young singing performer and actor. He comes with an impressive resume and growing list of experiences both on stage, screen and television.
As soon as I stumbled on his YouTube Channel I wrote to his parents for the full story behind Sebastián. I was soon in contact with his amazing family and well on the way to bringing you his story.
Sebastián was born in Mexico City on September 15th,2001 and his family consists of his Mother, Father, and older sister Olivia, who also serves as his best friend.
Since he was very young, he has had a great interest in nature and animals. His favorite hobby was to go out of town to go fishing and camping. For this reason Sebastián has developed a keen awareness of ecology and care for the environment. Sebastián also has personally rescued a number of pets including snakes, hamsters, parrots, cats, canaries, frogs, turtles, fish and dogs.
Since 5 years old he has practiced Taekwondo and attended a number of competitions throughout his country.
In the same sports club where Sebastián practiced Taekwondo, his sister took dance classes, called Latin Rhythms. Sebastián expressed a great interest in what his sister was doing, but was too small to perform the choreography routines. However, due to his insistence to take dance classes, his Dad spoke to the teacher. The dance instructor said she would start up a sample class for a younger child in order to appease him, but when Sebastián surprised the teacher with his ability, she soon enrolled him as a dancer. He was the smallest in the class, but this fact did not seem to faze him in the slightest.
He is the smallest boy down in front in the mask and cape.
I am told that Sebastián’s musical talent was inherited from his father who listens to all kinds of music. It was this early influence that gave Sebastián the desire to sing in his School Choir and continue to challenge himself to improve.
When Sebastián was eight years old he attended an audition that made the prestigious choreographer Felex Greco take special note of him. Sebastián went to the audition thinking it was only a dance audition, but after arriving, found out it was song and dance. He quickly improvised and sang “Are You Ready For A Miracle†from Patty Labelle. His performance so impressed the audience and judges that he was selected to be part of a children’s group called “GARABATOSâ€.
GARABATOS
Since beginning school Sebastián has received a bilingual education. This has enabled him to listen, learn, and perform songs in English, but being a part of the group he sang most of his songs in Spanish.
Sebastián’s evenings gradually began to be occupied with singing, acting, dancing and jazz practice. This of course began to take precedence over his Taekwondo and Tennis lessons. Not having time for both, he had to let those classes go in order to concentrate on his music and acting career.
This decision soon paid off with Sebastián soon being invited to do evening performances further expanding his experience while honing his talents.
Sebastián is currently in the seventh grade and in a school system which allows him to prepare academically, taking classes in English and French while at the same time meeting his obligations in theater, television and singing performances.

During 2014 Sebastián was invited to sing at a variety of venues throughout his country. Among these performances was at the Plaza Mexico, a main concert arena, where he performed at two separate events in front of more than 20,000 people.
In addition to these performances he appeared in front of many adoring fans exciting the audience with his singing and dancing. You could say that Sebastián Urdiales is one of the fasting growing and brightest young stars in all of Mexico.

One of his most exciting performances was this past April in Mexico City, where he appeared in front of more than 50,000 people singing “Rolling in the Deep†by Adele.

In 2013 Sebastián performed on the biggest reality Television show in Mexico. Sebastián was chosen to perform on the show competing with over 80,000 other talented artists who auditioned. While he did not win the competition he was one of the favorites on the show and generated much popularity and recognition from that experience.

This year Sebastián also made a number of Television appearances and actually hosted one show which ran over a period of several months.
He appeared on “The Morning Show†one of the most watched Mexican television shows in the country where he presented reports on children’s summer activities.
He also starred on a children’s entertainment program called “La Hora de los KIDSâ€, where he acted, sang and actually was the driving force of the program.
In addition to his Television success he also boasts being cast in a short film called “The Light†and a Feature Film entitled “Perfect Obedienceâ€. The short film was produced by students of one of the major universities in Mexico for an international film competition. The feature film was directed by Luis Urquiza and was released in cinemas in both Mexico and The United States in 2014.
Sebastián played the role of John, one of the children who lived and studied in a seminary.
Sebastián’s latest adventure in theater is his portrayal of Patrick in the musical Auntie Mame. Sebastián has been working on his role since March endeavoring to learn many lines and lyrics for the show and working alongside great actors with whom he shares credits.
Auntie Mame is a 1955 novel by Patrick Dennis chronicling the madcap adventures of a boy, Patrick, growing up as the ward of the sister of his dead father. The book is inspired by Dennis’ real life eccentric aunt, Marion Tanner, whose life and outlook mirrored those of Mame. The novel was a runaway best seller, setting records on the New York Times bestseller list, with more than two million copies in print during its initial publication.
The show opened this past October 17th in Mexico being one of the most anticipated productions to come to the country and of course stars Sebastián as Patrick, a mainstay characters in the play.
Sebastián tells us that his favorite foods are the BBQ ribs and brownies and his favorite artists are Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Michael Bublé and Frank Sinatra among others.
He also loves to travel and see new places; his favorite trip has been when all the family went on a Disney Cruise and visited Orlando.
While it’s always hard to tell where a youngster like Sebastián will end up I have no doubt that he will soon be noticed by a major producer and taken under wing.
Regardless of who he might join up with, I can assure you that he will be one to watch in the near future not just in Mexico but internationally.
Look out Hollywood there’s another young talented force to soon be knocking on your door and his name is Sebastián Urdiales!

En nuestra continua búsqueda por encontrar nuevos jóvenes talentos de alrededor del mundo frecuentemente encontramos talento que ya ha logrado obtener grandes reconocimientos en esa parte del mundo, más sin embargo no han encontrado el camino hacia una proyección internacional. Y es un gran honor para nosotros el poder presentar por primera vez aquà en Rivermaster’s Place a Sebastián Urdiales.
 ¡A sus trece años de edad Sebastián Urdiales es uno de los jóvenes talentos que han salido de la ciudad de México y que están creciendo de una forma acelerada! Sebastián quien actualmente cursa el segundo año de Secundaria es un talentoso joven intérprete, cantante y actor. Asà mismo es poseedor un impresionante currÃculum y una creciente lista de experiencias tanto en teatro, cine y televisión
Tan pronto como encontré su Canal de YouTube escribe a sus padres para conocer la historia completa detrás de Sebastián. Estuve pronto en contacto con esta maravillosa familia e inicie el camino para hacerles llegar su historia.
Sebastián nació en la Ciudad de México el 15 de Septiembre del 2001 y su familia está formada por su Mamá, Papá y su hermana mayor Olivia, quien también es su mejor amiga.
Desde que él era muy joven, siempre mostro un gran interés en la naturaleza y los animales. Su pasatiempo favorito era salir de la ciudad para ir a pescar o acampar. Por este motivo Sebastián desarrollo una aguda conciencia de la ecologÃa y el cuidado del medio ambiente. Sebastián también ha rescatado personalmente una serie de mascotas como: serpientes, hámster, loros, gatos, canarios, ranas, tortugas, pescados y perros.
Desde la edad de 5 años practica Taekwondo y ha participado en diferentes competencias a lo largo de su paÃs.
En el mismo club deportivo donde Sebastián practicaba Taekwondo, su hermana tomaba clases de baile, llamadas “Ritmos Latinosâ€. Sebastián presento un gran interés en lo que su hermana estaba haciendo, pero era muy pequeño para realizar las rutinas coreográficas. Sin embargo, debido a su insistencia de tomar clases de baile, su Papá habló con la instructora. A lo que la instructora les dijo que abrirÃa una clase muestra para el pequeño con el fin de tranquilizarlo, pero cuando Sebastián sorprendió a la instructora con su habilidad ella rápidamente lo inscribió en su grupo como bailarÃn. Él era el más pequeño en la clase, pero este hecho no pareció perturbarlo en lo más mÃnimo.
Es el más pequeño de enfrente con la máscara y la capa.
Me han dicho que el talento musical de Sebastián ha sido heredado de su padre quien escucha todo tipo de música. Fue esta influencia temprana la que le dio a Sebastián el deseo por cantar en el coro de su escuela y continuar desafiándose a sà mismo para mejorar.
Cuando Sebastián tenÃa ocho años, asistió a una audición para el prestigioso coreógrafo Felix Greco quien tomó nota especial de él. Sebastián fue a la audición pensando en que solo era una audición de baile, pero después de llegar, encontró que esta era de canto y baile. Rápidamente improvisó y cantó “Are You Ready For A Miracle†de Patty Labelle. Su interpretación impresiono tanto a los jueces y a la audiencia; que fue elegido para formar parte de un grupo infantil llamado “GARABATOSâ€.
GARABATOS
Desde que inició sus estudios Sebastián ha recibido educación bilingüe. Esto le ha permitido escuchar, aprender e interpretar canciones en inglés, pero siendo parte del grupo, cantaba la mayorÃa de las canciones en español.
Gradualmente las noches de Sebastián se empezaron a ocupar con prácticas de canto, actuación, baile y jazz. Las cuales claramente tomaron precedencia ante sus lecciones de Taekwondo y Tenis. Al no tener tiempo para ambas, tuvo que dejar estas clases para poder concentrarse en su música y su carrera de actuación.
Esta decisión pronto rindió frutos, dado que Sebastián fue invitado a realizar presentaciones nocturnas las cuales le permitieron expandir su experiencia mientras perfeccionaba sus talentos.

Durante el 2014 Sebastián fue invitado a cantar en una variedad de lugares en todo su paÃs. Entre estas presentaciones estuvo la de la Plaza México, un concierto en la arena principal, donde se presentó en dos eventos separados frente a más de 20,000 personas.
Además de estas presentaciones, apareció frente a muchos admiradores emocionando al público con su canto y baile. Con lo que se puede decir que Sebastián Urdiales es una de las estrellas juveniles más destacadas y que están creciendo rápidamente en México.
Seguramente querrán visitar el Canal de YouTube de Sebastián donde descubrà su asombroso talento y ver todas sus presentaciones en vivo. Una de sus presentaciones más emocionantes fue la del pasado Abril en la Ciudad de México, en donde se presentó frente a más de 50,000 personas cantando “Rolling in the Deep†de Adele.

En el 2013 Sebastián se presentó en el más grande reality show de la televisión en México. Sebastián fue elegido para ser parte del programa compitiendo con más de otros 80,000 talentosos artistas quienes también se presentaron a la audición. Sin embargo el no gano la competencia, pero fue uno de los favoritos en el programa y gano mucha popularidad y reconocimiento de esa experiencia.

Este año Sebastián realizo algunas presentaciones en Televisión y de hecho condujo un programa que fue transmitido por varios meses.
Sebastián apareció en uno de los programas matutinos más visitos de la televisión Mexicana, “Venga la AlegrÃa†, donde presentaba reportajes sobre actividades de verano para niños.
También fue estelar en el programa de entretenimiento para niños llamado “La Hora de los KIDS†, donde actuaba, cantaba y que en verdad era el la fuerza que impulsaba el programa.
A parte de su éxito en la Televisión, también participo en el elenco del cortometraje llamado “La Luz†y en el largometraje titulado “La Obediencia Perfectaâ€. El cortometraje fue producido por estudiantes de una de las mejores universidades en México para una competencia internacional de pelÃculas. El largometraje por otro lado fue dirigido por Luis Urquiza y fue estrenado tanto en México como en Estados Unidos en el 2014.

Sebastián interpretó el papel de John, uno de los niños que vivÃan y estudiaban en el seminario.
La última Aventura de Sebastián en el teatro es su interpretación de Patrick en el musical La TÃa Mame. Sebastián ha estado trabajando en este personaje desde Marzo tratando de aprender muchos diálogos y canciones para la obra asà como trabajando con grandes actores con quienes comparte créditos.
TÃa Mame es una novela de 1955 escrita por Patrick Dennis que narra las locas aventuras de un niño, Patrick, quien crece bajo la custodia de la hermana de su fallecido padre. El libro está inspirado en la vida de la excéntrica TÃa de Dennis, Marion Tanner, cuya vida y perspectivas reflejan las de Mame, la novela se convirtió en un éxito rotundo, registrando records en la lista de más vendidos del New York Times con más de 2 millones de copias impresas durante la primera publicación.
La obra se estrenó el pasado 17 de Octubre  siendo una de las producciones más esperadas en ese paÃs y por supuesto aparece Sebastián como Patrick, que es uno de los personajes principales.

Sebastián nos comentó que su comida favorita son las costillitas a la BBQ y los brownies, sus artistas favoritos son Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Michael Bublé y Frank Sinatra entre otros.
También le encanta viajar y ver nuevos lugares; su viaje favorito ha sido cuando toda la familia fue al Disney Cruise y visitaron Orlando.

Aunque siempre es difÃcil de decir en donde terminara unjoven talento como Sebastián no tengo duda de que pronto será captado por un productor importante y tomado bajo su guÃa.
Independientemente de con quien pueda unirse, puedo asegurar que Sebastián será una estrella que no solo será reconocida en México sino internacionalmente.
Observa hacia otros lados Hollywood, hay otro joven talentoso que próximamente llamara con fuerza a tu puerta; su nombre… ¡Sebastián Urdiales!
