Connor Blackley Florida’s Country Crooner

Connor Blackley is getting ready for his performance at the Jacksonville Beach Summer Jazz Festival on August 8th. This year he will be singing “Fly me to the moon” and “Unforgettable”. Labor Day weekend, he will be showcasing in Nashville, at the Hard Rock Café, competing in a Susan Gabrielle Music singing competition and then on to the Nashville Palace.

Connor Blackley Band UnitedConnor has been very busy this summer and participated in a 4 week theatre camp, where he played Willy Wonka in their production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  Connor did an amazing job, and had a great time in the process.

Six months ago, Connor was asked to be the lead singer of a band called United. United is a rock band, which is a little out of Connor’s genre, but he is really enjoying himself and the band is getting quite good. The boys have a unique common ingredient in that each member is 12 years-old. The band consists of, William (on guitar), Nick (on drums) and Joseph (on bass). The band has been playing around the Orange Park, Green Cove Springs, and Fleming Island area and most recently performed for a benefit in Kingsland, Georgia.  They were the final act in Green Cove Springs for the 4th of July event and performed for an audience of nearly one thousand.  Their stage performance included the songs “Satisfaction”, “Twist and Shout”, “Johnny Be Good”, “Let it be” and “TNT”.  While I find it hard to picture Connor singing “TNT” I know he has the vocal ability to sing anything that he puts his mind to. I look forward to writing more about his band in theconnorblackley0810 near future.

Looking ahead, Connor is getting ready for his performance at the Jacksonville Beach Summer Jazz Festival on August 8th. This year he will be singing “Fly Me To The Moon” . and “Unforgettable”.  As you may or may not know “Fly me to the moon” was first recorded in 1954, more than 4 decades before Connor was even born. This song is best remembered for being sung by Frank Sinatra on his album produced by Quincy Jones in 1964.  Now 46 years later, our young Country Crooner will belt it out once more and sweep the crowd off their feet.

Labor Day weekend, Connor will be heading to Nashville, where he will be performing Saturday in a showcase at the Hard Rock Café.  Following that he will be competing in a Susan Gabrielle Music singing competition and then on Sunday at the Nashville Palace.

Connor continues to be an amazing vocalist and outstanding performer.  It is with great interest that I continue to follow his career as he advances into the spotlight of fame.  You can count on future updates about Connor’s success’s and achievements right here at Rivenmaster’s Place and don’t forget to visit his You-Tube site for additional information and new videos!  You can also hear his songs on The Skykid Radio and his MySpace Site.

  1. Conner is an awesome person….when he sits still long enough to talk…..LOL…..he is great , after meeting him I can see he is a blast and when it comes to performing the crowd loves him he is not shy at all….He done a great job..

  2. I’m from the generation of the “One Time at Band Camp”! lol 🙂 I attended when I was in 6th and 7th grade where I perfected my trombone playing skills. It was always exciting with lots of swimming, boating, fishing, art work, hiking, cook outs, campfires, and just plain having lots of outdoor fun. Some of the memories I made at those camps were the best of my childhood. Living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan never afforded me the opportunity to do any theater camps but I was in every High School Musical that the school put on. I could tell you many stories of those exciting High School Days. Singing has always been one of my greatest talents but boys like Connor are 1 in a million! With each new song and each new year that passes he only gets better and better. I can’t wait to hear the results of his contest activities his year!

  3. Thanks for the nice comment! I will hopefully be posting video of Connor’s band within the next week or two.

  4. I have always wanted to go to some kind of camp – never did – but theatre camp sounds great. Way to go Connor. I don`t think he will have any troubles in any genre and am interested to hear the vibes of United. Good luck to the band. I hope they realize how lucky they are to have such a gifted lead singer . I count on you for updates Rod, and you and Connor ( and United ) can always count on me for support .
