If you are a Thilo Berndt fan you have seen and heard Thilo’s improvement on his latest videos, however you may have asked yourself what Thilo has been up to over the past couple of months. Well we are happy to say we have finally caught up to him and found out that he has been very busy since our last update!
Thilo’s musical career was catapulted in 2008 with The Kiddy Contest and continued in 2009 and 2010 with his winning performance in Teenage Rockstars.
Thilo was then featured here in a full feature article on November 15th, 2010 where we told his amazing story about his rise to fame featuring two videos that captured his appearances in both contests. His music has been playing on a rotation basis on The Skykid.com Radio ever since and his latest videos have been featured in the sidebars on this site on a regular basis! In addition Thilo stayed quite busy during 2011 participating in two TV-Productions.
While it seems that things have been quiet surrounding Thilo as of late, that is not entirely true.
Thilo has continued to be fully engaged in his musical career pursuit and has even declined several offers from diverse casting shows in order to save time for improving his vocal skills and musical talents. He currently is in the process of writing his own songs, harmonics, and lyrics and works daily on his singing technique and improving his skills on the guitar and piano.
We are also delighted to report that Thilo has been awarded one of the eight scholarships for this year’s “Prodigy Camp.
Each year Rivenmaster.com, in collaboration with TheSkyKid.com, Stars2Come.com and The Film School under the directorship of Rick Stevenson offer young talent from around the world a unique opportunity to attend the The Film School Prodigy Film Camp by placing ads on our sites and providing a scholarship to the camp.
THE PRODIGY CAMP this summer will again host the top 20 young storytellers in the world (open to actors, singers, writers, dancers, filmmakers). Â It is held annually on an Island off the American coast near Canada.
Thilo is very much looking forward to participating in this amazing program and has worked very hard over the past year getting ready for this wonderful opportunity. Thilo has even taken additional English lessons to prepare for this amazing lifetime experience.
It was also just announced that Thilo has entered a contest which he feels holds great significance for his musical career.
The Rio+20 Global Youth Music Contest, a global competition for young people organized by the International Association for the Advancement of Innovative Approaches to Global Challenges (IAAI). This organization includes a wide number of partners and youth networks. It’s to be held on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development (Rio+20 Earth Summit) in June 2012 in Brazil. This opportunity encourages youth to express their hopes, concerns and thoughts for the future.
For his audition Thilo has chosen to perform a medley of Michael Jackson’s songs including; “Earth Songâ€, “Man in the Mirror†and “We are the Worldâ€. Thilo wanted to perform these songs because he felt no one to this date has written better lyrics to express this global concern about our planet in which we live and breathe.
Thilo’s own original song about this important subject is in progress, but not yet ready for release!
