Sam Verlinden continues to please the audience with every performance as young 10 year old Tommy in the stage production of “Tommy the Musical”. The latest review written by: The New Zealand Performing Arts Review & Directory exclaimed, “Young Tommy is played beautifully by Sam Verlinden, and required to be completely unresponsive even when a balloon is popped in his face”. This blogger is not surprised by this kind of review about Sam, as I was certain that Sam would be a highlight in this production.
It also mentioned; “The orchestra is great, keeping good time and showcasing a variety of skills: one of the best things about this show”.
Sam enjoyed his birthday performance which was Thursday evening. The entire cast helped him celebrate with cake, refreshments and gifts. In addition Sam had two of his close mates Luke (shown left) and Liam (shown in back) attend along with other family members and friends. This picture was taken outside the theater Thursday evening at intermission.
