Thilo Berndt Entering Global Rockstar Contest!

Thilo BerndtIf you are a Thilo Berndt fan you have seen and heard Thilo’s improvement on his latest videos, however you may have asked yourself what Thilo has been up to over the past couple of months. Well we are happy to say we have finally caught up to him and found out that he has been very busy since our last update!

Thilo’s musical career was catapulted in 2008 with The Kiddy Contest and continued in 2009 and 2010 with his winning performance in Teenage Rockstars.

Thilo was then featured here in a full feature article on November 15th, 2010 where we told his amazing story about his rise to fame featuring two videos that captured his appearances in both contests.  His music has been playing on a rotation basis on The Skykid.com Radio ever since and his latest videos have been featured in the sidebars on this site on a regular basis!  In addition Thilo stayed quite busy during 2011 participating in two TV-Productions.

While it seems that things have been quiet surrounding Thilo as of late, that is not entirely true.

Thilo Berndt GermanyThilo has continued to be fully engaged in his musical career pursuit and has even declined several offers from diverse casting shows in order to save time for improving his vocal skills and musical talents. He currently is in the process of writing his own songs, harmonics, and lyrics and works daily on his singing technique and improving his skills on the guitar and piano.

We are also delighted to report that Thilo has been awarded one of the eight scholarships for this year’s “Prodigy Camp.

Aj Silva and Sam Santiago pay tribute to Whitney Houston

While this site makes ready our normal weekly publication, I felt compelled to share with you two sensational videos that demand more media attention than what our complementary Facebook site Young Artists Global could offer.

Recently this year’s American Idol contest featured the female contenders singing their renditions of the iconic songs of one of the most amazing singer/actresses of our time, Whitney Houston. Among them were Whitney’s two biggest songs “I Will Always Love You” and “I Have Nothing”. While the contestants who performed these two numbers received accolades for their interpretations, the judges also stated that both of these songs presented an enormous challenge for any singer, due to their difficulty and the vocal range required for a good performance.

After reading some of the comments on the YouTube Channels of Aj Silva and Sam Santiago, I could not allow this opportunity to slip by without sharing both of these amazing musical tribute videos here.

Aj Silva was recently featured here just two weeks ago, and while his video tribute had only been released the day before the publication, he was already enjoying hundreds of views. His video has now piled up nearly 8,400 views in just two weeks’ time and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down! It is with great pleasure that I present this video one more time for those of you who may have missed Aj’s outstanding performance which is truly a cover of unspeakable proportions.

Sam Santiago’s last full feature article was published back in September when he was visiting Michigan and appeared on WZZM TV singing a cover of Adele’s song “Rolling in The Deep”.  Since that time Sam has been singing at a variety of events in California and continues to amaze every audience that is assembled.  His cover of Whitney’s Song, “I Have Nothing” also serves as not only a wonderful tribute to Whitney and her amazing musical career, but also demonstrates that this nine-year-old boy has a talent that is beyond compare for one so young.
