Dylan Cragle Meets Raining Faith – Two new original songs released!

This is the fourth time that Dylan Cragle has been featured on this site, and for good reason! Dylan is extremely and uniquely talented, in as much as he has been writing and producing his own music ever since I first met him through his YouTube Channel.

His most recent two originals “Nova Scotia (What About Me)“, and “Dance Me”, were written, composed and played by Raining Faith. Raining Faith is a Nashville Tennessee based band, the same band that Dylan worked with on his first original song “He Taught Me” that debuted on his very first introductory article right here on Rivenmaster’s Place!

You can learn more about Raining Faith by visiting the YouTube Channel called Captain Rock. Even before this website was birthed, I heard wonderful things about Randy Pinkelton, better known as (Captain Rock), and how supportive he and the band have been to the young artists they have come in contact with! I salute them for their creative work and their efforts to inspire young budding artists like Dylan!

NASHVILLE EXPERIENCE

Dylan recently returned from a trip to Nashville where he worked with Raining Faith in their recording studio, Ruby Mai Studios. Nova Scotia (What About Me), an emotional ballad was first written for Raining Faith. However, as they started working on the song the band members all agreed that they thought Dylan’s vocal would sound amazing for this song and set out to contact him regarding him singing lead on this song. I think that once you have heard this song you will agree with them.

Dylan is an amazing vocalist. This song, like his others, really demonstrates Dylan’s ability to tell a story through his vocals, which are both convincing and moving. Each Dylan Cragle original has a message or story interwoven into the tapestry of the song, which Dylan eloquently reveals through his heartfelt emotional performances.

Dylan Cragle’s New Song with Meaningful Message

Dylan Cragle is more than just a young man with a big voice. He is a young man with a big heart! Dylan has a masterful way to write not only great pop music with moving rhythm and beat, but weaves in a meaningful message with every new release. His latest song “In This World” not only illustrates this, but once again gives you an inside look at who Dylan Cragle really is, and what he wants to convey through his music!

Dylan is extremely compassionate about an issue that many young teens face every day at school. Bullying! This is not only wrong but has driven many teens to even take their own lives because of not wanting to face another day of this repeated torturous routine from their peers.

While swinging on his back yard swing, Dylan started thinking about a friend at school who was getting bullied on a daily basis. He thought; “Why are some people so mean? Why do they purposely try to hurt and make fun of others?” Dylan was pondering a way that he could help her when he suddenly realized his thoughts could be turned into a song. He ask his Mom to bring him a tablet and pencil and soon the words began to flow out of him. In about one hours time his masterpiece was complete and while handing it to his Mom he exclaimed; “I think this is a real good one Mom.”

“What’s up with School” new Dylan Cragle original!

Thirteen year old Dylan Cragle from Washington state is making his mark as a recording artist with his new original song “What’s Up With School” this week. While many youngsters his age are singing copycat songs in attempts to be recognized, Dylan has taken it to the next level as a song writer/performer. Working regularly with his producer Victor Holguin, Dylan is learning to exercise his unique creative talent.

Dylan began writing “What’s Up With School” about 2 months ago and I am delighted to introduce it here for the very first time.

What’s Up with School?

Dylan’s desire was to write about something that not only he could relate to, but something that all teens could identify with and enjoy. This song is quite different than his past recordings as it is upbeat, cheery, and has a very catchy beat. Like most teens, Dylan despises homework and often asks “why do I have to learn about this?” His Mom Lynn told me, that the chorus for this song just spilled out while having a conversation with her about the subject matter of the song. Once the lyrics for the chorus were in place, he thought of a melody and how he wanted the song to sound. He then took this to his producer and from that they started composing the music. Dylan then started writing the verses, the bridge, and came up with some ad libs. The song slowly developed, and what we hear today is the final results of this fantastic collaboration of creativity and effort.

Dylan is already looking foreword to writing his next song and we are very excited to see what comes next from this fantastic new young recording artist!

Dylan Cragle “Washington Wonder”

I don’t remember the first time I heard Thirteen Year Old Dylan Cragle sing, but I know it stopped me dead in my tracks. His performance really captivated me as I watched this young inherent talent more than demonstrate his ability to deliver a song. It was then that I realized, Dylan was going to be a powerful force in the near future! Dylan was born on May 4, 1996 in Washington State, USA. His Mother Lynn told me “Dylan immediately started using his voice an d hasn’t stopped since.” Dylan has always been a very social person. When people meet Dylan they often remark on how articulate, well mannered, charming and funny he is. Some have described him as having personality plus.

As a small child Dylan was always dressing in costumes, acting out stories and putting on shows f or his family. When he was 3 years old he told his mother “I’m going to be a star (on stage, not television).” Dylan began taking Dance lessons for the next 4 years and really enjoyed the Jazz and Hip Hop classes. He was a natural and excelled, receiving a Scholarship from the school. At the end of his 4th year of dance class he decided that the costumes had become a little too much for him and dropped out. Dylan then told his parents that he thought he could sing, so for his 10^th birthday he was surprised to receive an interview with a vocal coach. It was then his parents turn to be surprised, when the vocal coach said “He has a re ally good voice, he can sing.” This was the start of Dylan’s passion.

Dylan’s greatest love now is to sing and be on stage. The first time he came off a stage his mother recalled him stating: “That Felt So Good”

Dylan gets very excited when he performs, he loves to make people smile and laugh. He has been performing at schools, street fairs, state fair, farmers markets, and shopping malls.

In addition to his great singing voice, Dylan just completed his first single entitled “He Taught Me” and is currently working on writing more original songs, and composing music with his producer.

Dylan is also interested in acting, and would love to perform in a Broadway play. His favorite musical is Wicked, he collects anything that has to do with that Musical.

He greatly admires Kristen Chenowith, Pink, LeAnn Rimes, Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. Dylan was privileged to have the opportunity to meet Carrie Underwood at the Washington State Fair.

On a personal note, Dylan is an A, B student and is involved with many after school clubs such as; drama, art and yoga club. When He is not singing Dylan loves training and playing with his German shepherd dog. He also enjoys swimming, playing soccer with his dog and Dad, biking and riding dirt bikes. Dylan dreams of becoming a professional recording artist, and traveling around the world.

Listen to Dylan Sing his interpretation of “Going Home” a song originally written by: David Fosters Daughter Amy Foster and Michael Buble. Amy won a BMI award for the song on November 22nd, 2008.
