Norway’s Rising Star Morgan Li – On His Way

Rivenmaster’s Place is always proud to feature amazingly talented young actors and vocalists, and 16 year old Morgan Li, from Fredrikstad, Norway is no exception.
I was happy to be introduced to Morgan last month by his manager and even more delighted that we could feature him here just before he celebrates his 17th birthday next month in November! His birthday this year will be quite a special event, as Morgan will start to produce his debut album, with one of the most successful music producers and songwriters of the last decade, Rudy Pėrez. In addition Jon Secada will be working closely with Rudy and Morgan on his new songs.
Morgan has always taken an interest in music. As early as age ten, Morgan signed up for and captured the win in the Mini Idol talent contest. Due to this musical accomplishment, Morgan was awarded the opportunity to sing on the summer tour with the winner of the Norwegian Idol contest, Aleksander Denstad With. It was on this tour that Morgan realized that music had truly become his passion. His love for music had now expanded into an overwhelming desire to share his talent with the world.
Soon thereafter, many leading local producers began to take notice of Morgan which led to him being offered the opportunity to play a leading role in the Fredrikstad Kids-Musical “Spooki” from 2006 to 2008. After that role the famous Bandleader and Singer, Age Sten Nielsen, extended an invitation for Morgan to perform in his national Queen Tribute show entitled “The Show Must Go On”.
2009 brought even more excitement, when Morgan performed as a solo artist in a major Christmas Show in Norway. The following year, Age Sten Nielsen selected Morgan to be a part of his choir on Norway’s prime time television show “Det store Korslaget”. This show proved to be a real launching pad for Morgan. His appearance on this show especially showcased his singing talent which caught the attention of ShowMotion, who ultimately signed Morgan as one of their young developing artists.
This past summer Morgan has been working in the recording Studios in Bonita Springs, Florida recording his debut songs and producing his first music videos. The culmination of this work will result in Morgan’s debut CD which is scheduled to be released in early 2012. The Cd is reported to contain 12 fresh, romantic and powerful songs.
Morgan currently attends a school for music and performs in and around Fredrikstad. He is an excellent student and has the full support of his teachers and school leaders behind him in his musical ventures. This wonderful support has made it possible for Morgan to keep up on his studies, and at the same time do a number of live performances.
Morgan takes a great interest in World Events. His desire is to use his music by writing lyrics that touch on critical issues. His hope is that his songs will help make a change for the better. Morgan’s music is relevant and timely reaching his generation, filled with emotion, love, and other issues that teens face in their daily lives. In addition, Morgan is also very involved in the creation of his music videos, bringing fresh ideas to the team of producers for every video produced. This is most impressive for one so young, and only further demonstrates his talent and desire for musical perfection by taking an active part in the final product that is presented to his fans.

Outside of Morgan’s musical pursuits he also enjoys playing soccer and recently played on a team for a local Soccer Club in “Fredrikstad FK”. However, desiring to to concentrate fully on his musical career at the moment, Morgan has left the team and hung up his soccer shoes.
In his rare leisure time, he enjoys hanging out with his friends or just relaxing at home and watching movies. He also enjoys making videos and uses his creative and sometimes comedic side to create a YouTube video for a YouTube channel called Farmer Production.

Although Morgan has been in the public eye since he was 12 and is very focused on furthering his musical career, he remains dedicated to keeping family and friends close. Morgan Li may be reaching for the stars but he has his feet planted firmly on the ground. Yes Morgan Li is “On His Way”!
