Aj Silva and Sam Santiago pay tribute to Whitney Houston

While this site makes ready our normal weekly publication, I felt compelled to share with you two sensational videos that demand more media attention than what our complementary Facebook site Young Artists Global could offer.

Recently this year’s American Idol contest featured the female contenders singing their renditions of the iconic songs of one of the most amazing singer/actress of our time, “Whitney Houston”.  Among them were Whitney’s two biggest songs “I Will Always Love You” and “I Have Nothing”. While the contestants who performed these two numbers received accolades for their interpretations, the judges also stated that both of these songs presented an enormous challenge for any singer, due to their difficulty and the vocal range required for a good performance.

After reading some of the comments on the YouTube Channels of Aj Silva and Sam Santiago, I could not allow this opportunity to slip by without sharing both of these amazing musical tribute videos here.

Aj Silva was recently featured here just two weeks ago, and while his video tribute had only been released the day before the publication, he was already enjoying hundreds of views. His video has now piled up nearly 8,400 views in just two weeks time and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down!  It is with great pleasure that I present this video one more time for those of you who may have missed Aj’s outstanding performance which is truly a cover of unspeakable proportions.

Sam Santiago’s last full feature article was published back in September when he was visiting Michigan and appeared on WZZM TV singing a cover of Adele’s song “ Rolling In The Deep”.  Since that time Sam has been singing at a variety of events in California and continues to amaze every audience that is assembled.  His cover of Whitney’s Song “I Have Nothing” also serves as not only a wonderful tribute to Whitney and her amazing musical career ,but also demonstrates that this nine year old boy has a talent that is beyond compare for one so young.

This site takes its hat off to these two young men for their very special performances.  You can be sure that you will be seeing much more from both of them in the near future not only on this site, but in the headlines of major media and networks.

Aj Silva Amazing Young Performing Artist!

When I was first directed to AJ Silva’s YouTube Channel over a year ago he was only sporting seven cover songs and a several hundred subscribers. Today, this sensational, soon to be teen, has over two dozen video covers, nearly 5,000 subscribers and over a “Half a Million” page views!

The Success of Aj Silva can be contributed to many factors, with the largest one being that this boy is just flat out amazing!  His ability to stay in perfect pitch, showcasing his vocal range effortlessly on every song, perfect timing and breath control, in addition to his creative artistic vocal flavor makes Aj Silva the young artist to watch in the months to come!

I have been extremely honored to be a part of his promotional team effort over his past year! While he has held a high profile on this site in the side bars and in the header banner, prior to this update he has only had one full feature article.

I’m happy that we can finally share a little more with you about this amazing boy with the golden voice called Aj Silva.

In his introductory feature article we learned much about his background and working with his father behind the control board in their home studio.  This was where Aj’s musical adventure began and continues to flourish!

This young artists ability to capture a song, make it his own, do his own arrangements along with adding as many as four part harmonies has proven to be his trademark in music video creation.

“AjSil” You-Tubes Musical Thrill

Every now and then I am directed to a new site by one of my friends.  This time it was my YouTube friend Ken who introduced me to Eleven year old Anthony Javier Silva or better known by his stage name Ajsil.

From the very first note of this boy’s music video he captured 100% of my attention! Most young artists his age sing covers of other artist’s songs and while this holds true for Ajsil, his originality coupled with some amazing video creativity, truly make him unique and extraordinary.  This boy is not just a good little eleven year old singer, but he is already a true artist showing his own style and musical ability.

“Ajsil has a natural musical talent”

His Dad explains;

“Aj became involved in music from a very early age working next to me in my home recording studio, shadowing and assisting me in my music productions and recording sessions.  Being around music so early in life has helped him tremendously in developing an incredible musical ear.  He is able to naturally harmonize vocals on cue on any song as well as develop his own musical ideas and melodies.  He is extremely fast and accurate when recording vocals, doubling voices and harmonizing since he has been doing that throughout his young life. A few months ago I asked him if he wanted to tryout for a singer/actor/model audition in Orlando Florida and he answered yes.  He sang the National Anthem and received a standing ovation.  It was then that he realized his full potential for singing and asked me to help him with his music career.  I always knew my son had great talent and eventually would realize it himself and want it to go professional, but I didn’t want to force it upon him, the decision had to be his own”.
